Le groupe « Founded in 1989, “Générale de Protection” has 680 employees split between two monitoring centers, including 20 field sales and support staff. The group provides remote monitoring, CCTV monitoring, access control, and IP security services for businesses, local authorities and individuals.

Customer needs
The monitoring and security services provided by "Générale de Protection" depend on fast reaction times, with fast, secure data exchanges. Arkoon was presented with the following objectives:

• Make systems more easily accessible without degrading security;
• Protect the service delivery backbone (monitorning centers, alarms, CCTV streaming, etc.) and the management backbone (430 PCs, 80 laptops, email, accounting, HR, etc.);
• Facilitate VLAN interconnectivity over VPNs with key accounts;
• Ensure high uptime on the network backbone;
• Minimize management overheads with a single easy-to-use management console

The response
An Arkoon customer since 2000, "Générale de Protection" now has two FAST360 A800 High Availability pair deployments. This guarantees full hardware redundancy, essential to ensure the levels of service demanded by Générale de Protection customers for whom no interruption is permissible.
Customer confidentiality and communications security requirements are met by the use of VLANs over VPNs to connect customer sites to the monitoring centers.
All networks are firewalled by the FAST360 appliances, and user access rights are managed through the FAST360 centralized network security management console ensuring coherent end-to-end security policy.
