Arkoon Management Center (AMC): Advanced server-based centralized management for Arkoon FAST360 UTM appliances.
Arkoon Management Center facilitates and optimizes the management of consistent security policies and configurations of multiple FAST360 appliances, on a single site or on interconnected multi-site deployments. All FAST360 appliances are fully compatible with AMC. AMC is an additional, optional solution compared with the management and monitoring tools supplied as part of the standard FAST360 product. Centralized management and monitoring with AMC optimizes operator costs and reduces management overhead on individual appliances, improving overall network performance.
Arkoon Management Center (AMC) is the central platform of Arkoon’s 3-tiers management architecture (Arkoon Management Tools / AMC / Arkoon equipments).
AMC permits to big, multi-site enterprises, to implement and monitor their network security policy on great number of ARKOON equipments in an easy, secured and centralised way. AMC is compatible with all the ARKOON security equipments.
AMC permits the configuration, the updating and monitoring of all the functionalities offered by ARKOON equipments. AMC centralises, simplifies and automates the process in order to optimise the administrators’ actions and to lower the costs related to the management of network security.
AMC is the central point of connection of the management tools Arkoon Management Tools (provided in standard versions with all ARKOON equipments). The administrator connects from a secured remote access (filtering of management IP addresses, authentication of the administrator and protection of the management flows by SSL v3) to the AMC server thanks to one of the 3 ARKOON management tools (Arkoon Manager, Arkoon Monitoring, Arkoon Reporting) and gains access to the management of the security policy of the ARKOON equipments under his/her responsibility.
AMC very strongly improves the ergonomics of management of a great number of equipments, which significantly reduces the risk of error of configuration, diagnosis or monitoring for the administrator. AMC automatically manages the coherence of security rules and optimises the real-time monitoring by equipping the monitor with a synthetic display which enables him/her to know the status of the network security equipments “at first glance”.
