A classic "firewall + antivirus" architecture is generally
based on the appeal to an external service leaning on communication protocols
between the Firewall and the Antivirus (for example:
CVP). Though performance problems make this type of service almost ineffective
notably in the case of HTTP flows.
Thanks to its SSA intregation architecture, ARKOON directly implements
the antivirus library and the signature bases of the
SOPHOS editor within its appliances.
The integrated antivirus gateway offers outstanding
performances and a very high security level thanks to the In-line filtering
of the SMTP, HTTP, FTP and POP3 incoming and outgoing flows .
30% of antiviruses are daily updated according to the latest survey of
the CLUSIF. ARKOON solutions permit toupdate automatically the antivirus
through a secured connection, on a frequence predefined by the administrator.
