URL filtering, Arkoon.
ARKOON integrates an effective and easy to use AntiSpam technology to
filtering your mailboxes. The AntiSpam filter developed
by Dolphian, offers the technology of an expert in the content
filtering and the fight against spams. The ARKOON Antipsam is
a combination of recognised technologies allowing stopping a maximum number
of spams while minimizing the risk of blocking some expected and useful
messages (the false positive).
The AntiSpam ARKOON uses a heuristic engine, based on filtering
rules of e-mails content and URL, which inspects the
completeness of e-mails in search of characteristics tied to spams. A
system of scoring allows determining if the email is legitimate or not.
On top of this the system uses blacklists of IP addresses recognized as
sources of spam. Those Blacklists are checked by Dolphian technical team
to control their reliability. The module also consults the URL
included into the Emails. These data bases are the object of a rigorous
process of selection. The data base filtering is not
the unique decision criteria.
By default, no message is destroyed. AntiSpam marks messages considered
as spams by adding a specific header that clearly inform the users and
to help the messaging client in putting available messages in a specific
file “users’ quarantine. Messages stay under control of collaborators.
ARKOON integrates algorithms of recognition which allow minimizing the
errors of classification.
ARKOON AntiSpam does not require learning or parameter setting from the
users or administrator.
Effective immediately, spams are detected from AntiSpam activation. The
update of rules is made in a regular and automatic way, according to the
arrival of new alterations of spams.
