Application level firewall, Arkoon.
The firewalls that one can find on the market offer an effective protection
against level 3 and 4 network attacks (stateful firewall),
but are inoperative when attackers aim application level
vulnerabilities.
Thanks to the exclusive FAST® technology, ARKOON firewall
is the first appliances which can combine Intrusion Prevension, "real-time"
control at application level, and "stateful inspection”
at network level without compromising the network performance.
As active security components, they block attacks by controlling RFC
compliance of more than 20 most commonly used protocols (HTTP, SMTP, FTP,
POP3, IMAP4, NNTP, DNS, RTSP, H323, Netbios, etc.), by applying rules
that detect the irregular use of the protocols, and limiting or eliminating
commands or parameters of these protocols that show intrusive potential.
