FAST360 certification
Arkoon has obtained the Common Criteria certification
pertaining to enhanced Evaluation Assurance Level EAL2 for its firewall
Arkoon v3.0 security equipment. Arkoon v3.0 is the first European French
firewall to obtain this internationally acknowledged certification (ISO
15408 standard).
Certification is a demanding process and the period of validity is of
over one year. This has involved great investment on behalf of the company.
For Arkoon clients, the issue is no small undertaking. The certification
is in fact the only means to ensure, through compliance with a standard
and audit assurance, that the product effectively protects the network
against identified threats and does not show any signs of vulnerability
likely to compromise it.

Security BOX certification
The Security BOX® Enterprise software suite, developed by MSI (Arkoon
Group), achieved Common Criteria certification level
EAL4+, the highest level awarded to software procducts, in May 2004. Certification
covers Security BOX® Crypto, the library which incorporates the cryptographic
components and mechanisms called on by other modules of the Security BOX®
suite to deliver a fully secure solution.
For our customers Common Criteria certification is an authoritative measure
of the quality and dependability of the Security BOX® solution and
our product development processes. The software components of the certified
product are MSI's intellectual property, developped by MSI and remaining
fully under the control of MSI.
MSI continues to invest in the certification of its security solutions
and in 2006 started the process of certifying a new mass storage information
confidentiality solution to Common Criteria EAL3+ requirements. This product
integrates the recommendations of the "PP Cdisk" protection
profile issued by the DCSSI (the French government's central information
security agency) in 2005, and implents an AES 256 encryption algorithm.
Developed in repsonse to the demands of small and medium businesses and
government agencies, the introduction of this product is scheduled for
Q4 2006.
