Data encryption security
Data encryption security, Security BOX® File, Arkoon.
Security BOX® File is a data encryption software. It protects files and
directories on laptops and workstations connected to a network.
On demand or automatic encryption
Security BOX® encrypts files and directories by means of a simple
right click on the mouse or with a drag n’ drop from the active
window of the software.
Security BOX® File allows to create encryption lists (and decryption
lists) to facilitate the daily management of sensitive data. The encryption
of a directory or a *.doc file may be started automatically every day
at fixed time, every x minutes or on Windows shutdown.
Security BOX® File also allows to forbid the encryption of some files
like system files to prevent risks of misuse or mistake.
Exchange of encrypted files
* Encrypt for a correspondent
The use of the public key encryption system supported by Security BOX®
File allows to encrypt files and directories for one or several correspondents,
using their public key. Only these correspondents will be able to decrypt
these files using their private key.
* Encrypting files and directories for a group of correspondents
In order to facilitate secure exchanges, Security BOX® File allows
to encrypt document for a group of people. This group includes the certificates
of each member.
* Encrypt for a correspondent not equipped with Security BOX® File
Two possible options in this case:
o The self decryption function allows to transform a file in an executable
one, containing the encrypted file and the adequate program needed to
decrypt it.
The sender, will provide the correspondent with the password by mail,
phone…
o Security BOX® File also allows to encrypt files for correspondents
equipped with Security BOX® Freeware (Security BOX® Freeware can
freely be downloaded on the internet).
